RES PRINCIPAL'S BLOG - ROCKETS REPORT - Sun., Nov. 18, 2018

Dear Reading Elementary "Rockets" Families & Community Members:

Kudos and heartfelt thanks to:
  • The PTO for all their hard work with the pie sale & chili cookoff!
  • All parents who came in for a parent conference!
  • Abby Rowlee for sending me photos from the pie sale!
Other Items of Interest:

Community Feast - The students helped make the bread which will be served at the Feast.  We hope you will be able to join us from 12 - 12:45 PM for this very special Reading Elementary Tradition.

WCUD Board Meeting - There is a 6 PM WCUD Board Meeting on Mon., Nov. 19, which will be discussing classroom configurations for NEXT school year.  I sent the Board packet out in a separate e-mail, but it can be found HERE.

Ski Runners  - The information was sent home electronically Friday, and hard copies will come home Monday. The link is HERE for the packet as well.   Please send in your forms as soon as possible.  Also, let Mrs. Knight know if you will need transportation.  If there is enough need, we will get a bus.  More news to follow on that.

News from the PTO - The PTO has been operating without a chair for quite some time now, with a lot of support from officers and volunteers. Unfortunately, however, this is just not sustainable. The decision has been made to dissolve the PTO by the first of the year if there is not a Chair in place. Please consider running, or nominating someone, for this! Your school needs you! If you are interested, or know someone who fits the bill, please email RES.PTO@yahoo.com to nominate.
